Rob is an award winning filmmaker who holds a Masters in Fine Arts (Film) from Columbia University (2007) along with a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws from Dalhousie University (1999).  He is the co-creator of the Netflix/Discovery Canada hit show Frontier, and serves as an EP and writer for the show.  In recent years, Rob served as producer, writer and director for the CBC show Republic of Doyle, as well as producer of the feature length documentaries Boy on Bridge and Shaun Majumder’s Every Word is Absolutely True, as well as the W Network series Majumder Manor. Rob produced CBC’s highly anticipated Caught, starring Allan Hawco and Paul Gross, based on the best-selling book by Lisa Moore.


His career in the film and television industry began in 2000 as a Production Supervisor with Halifax-based production company IMX Communications Inc. In 2004, he joined Granada America New York, post-producing and supervising various hit shows, including A&E’s The First 48 and Dallas SWAT. In 2005, while in New York, Rob directed the awarding-winning short entitled Deathsquad.  Rob has also worked on such projects as John Smith’s Love & Savagery (2009) and as director on the DGC Award-winning Best Short Film Quiet at Dawn (2010). Rob is thrilled to be back on air for Frontier: Season 2.
